Welcome!

My name is John Boston and I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist in Maryland since 2002.

One thing I have learned throughout the years is that the reasons people seek massage are as unique and diverse as their personalities. In other words, it doesn't matter whether it is an escape from stress that brings you here, or recovery from an athletic or workplace injury, or freedom from chronic pain; your reason is important and your therapy with me will be always be unique and specific to your needs.


A little about me. I am:


  • Licensed in Massage Therapy by the Maryland State Board of Chiropractic & Massage Therapy Examiners (#M02320) since 2002
  • Trained by both the Touch Therapy Institute in Los Angeles & the Baltimore School of Massage
  • Conveniently located in both Columbia & Odenton
  • A Professional Member of the American Massage Therapy Association
  • Educated with more than 800 hours of training in multiple forms of bodywork, including Sports, Pregnancy, and Thai Massage
  • Experienced with both the general public as well as college and amateur athletes
  • A provider in the CareFirst WholeHealth Network

Like some of you, I've had my own chronic pain to overcome.  In 1999 my poor posture at the computer gave me excruciatingly painful tendinitis in both forearms.  I could barely tie my shoes.  The good news is that after months of therapy, exercise and ergonomic adjustments, I was eventually able to type again without pain. Just as importantly, I would stretch and massage the muscles in my wrists and forearms every day to help the tissue stay healthy.  And to this day, I still do.  I've experienced firsthand the frustration of a lingering injury, but I've also learned that it's possible to make a full, long-lasting recovery.  Today I am still 100% pain-free in both forearms, even while giving as many as 20 massages a week.

It's no secret that the benefits of massage are numerous. With regular bodywork your circulation will improve, your immune system will strengthen, and your nervous system will relax--all of which enables the systems of your body to function more efficiently. You are probably already well aware of the wonderful effects massage has on pain, stress, and your overall state of mind.  Rest assured, you are on the road to feeling better.
